Park Recordings

Park Recordings primarily focus on the supply of Brass Band Music for digital MP3 download, and mailorder CD.
Park Recordings have been have operating since 1986 and are a husband and wife Partnership. Both accomplished active musicians, now dedicated to bringing their skills into helping younger bands, and creating a catalogue of band recordings of established master performances.

MD Eric Willan was formerly a member of the famous Besses Boys’ Band in 1951, later transferring to Besses o’th Barn where he remained until 1968. He gained a place at the Northern College of Music in Manchester in 1969 studying Trumpet under Cecil Kidd for Three years, and gaining a Fellowship of the Trinity College of Music. While at Besses Eric served an apprenticeship in electronics and studied at Manchester Technical College for six years part-time while employed as electronics engineer. Following on from music college, he was a freelance musician for several years and combined this with teaching young musicians in many schools.

Emma Willan played with the bands of Irwel Forge, Bolton Borough, the North West Youth Band playing both the Cornet and Tenor Horn, Bury Silver and Pemberton Old Band(Wigan) where she and Eric enjoyed banding together.
